WoooaaAAHH! I have had the most productive Sunday ever – and it’s not even 1:00! Check out my to-do list, which is now my DONE list!
- Paid bills
- Wrote some letters
- Did laundry
- Picked up house
- Cleaned kitchen
- Visited my parents
- Went to the post office
- Went to Super Wal-mart (good Heavens I love that place!)
- Trimmed some bushes in the front yard
- Made some lunch
Booyah – I LOVE productive Sundays! I tweeted this question earlier today – Do you like getting up early on Sunday, or sleeping in? I LOVE getting up in the quiet, early morning, having a hot cup of coffee and tackling whatever it is I need to do. It’s just the best
Alright – remember that banana + food processor dessert I keep promising you? Here it is: Frozen Banana Custard!
This idea comes from raw foodie, Gena, and as her post title indicates – this recipe really WILL change your life! All you do is take one frozen banana (I cut mine up into slices before freezing them,) place them in your food processor and whir that baby until the banana is pale yellow, creamy and custardy.
I am not kidding you – the texture of this is like the most rich, thick and creamy custard you have ever tasted…but it’s just a banana. Dear me!
I immediately cut-up my fresh banana stash and put them in baggies to freeze, so I always have a supply ready to make this stuff. Yes, it’s that good!
When I went over to my parent’s house this morning, I took my mini-food processor with me so I could make some for them too. My Mom took one bite and said "oh my gosh, this is life changing…” – and it is! You guys have GOT to try this ASAP! Kudos Gena for such a brilliant idea!
Aight – for lunch today I made a Green Monster smoothie. We are going out to an Italian restaurant for Ben’s, brother’s birthday tonight – so I wanted to stick with something filling, yet light.
I am such a creature of habit, as my green monster ingredients indicate – the mix was the same as usual!
- 2 big handfuls baby spinach
- 1 cup skim milk
- 1/4 cup un-cooked, old fashioned oats
- ~1 T almond butter
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 big, handful ice
Per usual, this was heavenly!
Since I crushed my to-do list so early in the day, I’ve got the rest of the afternoon to lie around – awesome! That never happens!
Have a great afternoon guys!

I love getting up early on Sunday. Nothing like going to the early service and then realizing you have all day to do nothing!
I agree on the banana love. I bought two bunches to freeze. I am addicted!
Way to go on the productivity! Woo woo. Nothing feels better than getting crap done! Haha.
I am going to have to say sleeping in though. Nothing feels better than luxuriating in bed way past weekday alarm clock time. I love waking up all groggily and slowly coming to life with tea and a long, drawn out breakfast. Perfect!
I am having such blogger envy right now about this banana whip stuff – I don’t own a food processor! Argggh!
Wow, sounds like you’ve been super busy and productive! I love waking up early if I’ve gotten enough sleep. If not, I’d rather sleep in
I have to make that banana dessert!
Great job on getting everything done super early!! I am definitely loving that frozen banana custard idea! I will try this very soon!
I really need to buy a food processor if only for that banana whip
That banana soft serve is indeed amazing! I’ve been having some since reading Gena’s post.
If I’ve gotten enough sleep, I have no problems waking up early on a Sunday morning. If not, I love to sleep in.
